Keyonlia Narcisse
Mrs. Narcisse is a 1996 graduate of Covington High School. She continued her academic pursuits at Lambuth University in Jackson, Tennessee, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in communications. After completing her degree, she began her professional career with WBBJ-TV in Jackson, serving as an evening camera operator while simultaneously completing an internship as a morning news producer. She later transitioned into the corporate sector in Memphis, Tennessee, where she gained extensive experience in finance and marketing.
In 2011, Mrs. Narcisse entered the field of education at Covington High School, where she taught Algebra I and Algebra II. In 2018, she joined the Memphis-Shelby County School District as a mathematics teacher at Trezevant High School before advancing to the Innovation Zone (I-Zone) as a district Algebra I instructional coach. In this role, she supported Algebra I educators across multiple high schools, including Trezevant, Booker T. Washington, Sheffield, Oakhaven, Westwood, Wooddale, and Manassas. During her tenure, Mrs. Narcisse participated in the University of Virginia Partnership for Leaders in Education and completed extensive coaching training through Learning Forward.
In 2023, Mrs. Narcisse continued her leadership journey by joining the Lauderdale County School District as an Assistant Principal at Ripley Middle School, where she led the mathematics department. In September 2025, she returned to her alma mater, Covington High School, to serve as an Assistant Principal.
Mrs. Narcisse attends 901 Church and she is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
Mrs. Narcisse lives by the quote of Maya Angelou, “If you only have one smile in you, give it to the people you love.”
Mrs. Narcisse is the wife of Lester Narcisse and the proud mother of Kendall and Trey Narcisse.

Dr. Lynette Billington
Dr. Billington began as an assistant principal at Covington High School in 2021. Prior to joining the Covington High family, she was the School-Wide Instructional Facilitator at Covington Integrated Arts Academy. She began her teaching career as a Special Education Teacher in Marshall County, Mississippi. Serving the students and community of H.W. Byers at the Elementary, Middle, and High School level for several years before moving on to teach English. She briefly taught English at Bolton High School before returning to her role as a Special Education Teacher at Brighton Middle school. Dr.. Billington received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Memphis in English with a concentration in African American Literature. She went on to earn a Master’s in Education, an Education Specialist, and Doctorate Degree in School Administration and Leadership from Union University.
Dr. Billington enjoys reading, going to the Orpheum, visiting museums, and traveling. Her goal and passion is to see students succeed and be prepared for the world after high school. She is looking forward to supporting students as they become responsible, contributing citizens of the world.

Jeff Nix
Mr. Nix began as assistant principal at Covington High School in 2025. He began his teaching career as a History teacher, football and track coach at Brighton Middle School in 2009. He came to Covington High School in 2013 where he taught History and coached both football and track. After earning his degree in Secondary Education History from The University of Tennessee at Martin he went on to earn a degree in Educational Leadership from Austin Peay State University. He graduated from Covington High School in 2003 and has a strong passion helping the youth of the Covington Community reach their full potential. Mr. Nix is married and a proud father of his three children Brooke, Jax, and Jae. In his spare time he enjoys lifting weights and spending time with his family.
